Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Alley-Hoop ("Alley-Hoop", "we", "us") is developed and operated by an individual developer, Sergey Gureev. This policy covers the Alley-Hoop iOS app and this website (including its highlight-cutting demo). It does not cover third-party services we link to or rely on (Apple, Google, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), which have their own privacy policies.
What we collect, and where it stays
Video you process in the iOS app. Alley-Hoop detects highlights and cuts clips entirely on your device, using an on-device model. Your source footage and the highlight clips generated from it are never uploaded to us and never leave your device.
Video you upload to the website demo. The browser-based demo on this website sends your uploaded clip to our server to detect and cut highlights, since a browser can't run that processing itself. The clip and the resulting highlight are stored temporarily to let you retrieve the result, and are automatically deleted after 7 days. We don't use demo uploads for any purpose beyond producing that result.
Purchases and subscriptions. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or, once the Android app ships, Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, app-specific purchaser identifier from Apple/Google — not your name, email, or card details.
Contact form. If you use the contact form on the website, we store the name, email address, and message you submit, so we can reply. We keep these until you ask us to delete them.
Accounts
Alley-Hoop does not currently require or offer sign-in. The free-tier usage limit is tracked locally on your device. If we later add optional accounts (for example, to sync your free-tier usage and purchases across devices), this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what that involves, and using an account will be optional rather than required to use the app's core features.
Training data
We do not currently collect your footage to train or improve any detection model. Alley-Hoop's product roadmap includes an optional, opt-in way to contribute footage for that purpose in the future — off by default, and the app will always work fully without it. If and when that ships, this policy will be updated to describe what's collected and how to opt out.
Children
Alley-Hoop is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Since footage may incidentally include minors playing basketball, remember that on-device processing means that footage never reaches us in the first place — the exception is the website demo (see above), which anyone uploading footage should keep in mind before uploading video that includes minors.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you (in practice, this is limited to contact-form submissions and demo-upload files still inside their 7-day retention window — see above for everything else). To exercise these, email us at sergey.gureev0205@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes materially, and — as noted above — before we start relying on any data collection this version doesn't already describe.
