Terms of Service

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Alley-Hoop is developed and operated by an individual developer, Sergey Gureev ("we", "us"). By using the Alley-Hoop app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Alley-Hoop.

The service

Alley-Hoop is a highlight-cutting tool for basketball footage. The iOS app processes video on-device. This website also offers a browser-based demo that processes a video you upload on our server (see the Privacy Policy for how that upload is handled).

Automatic highlight detection is not perfect — it can miss real highlights or include clips you wouldn't have picked yourself. Review what it produces before you rely on or share it.

Free tier and payment

Alley-Hoop offers a limited amount of free highlight processing per month. Beyond that limit, additional processing or a subscription is available as an in-app purchase. All purchases are billed and fulfilled by Apple (App Store) — and, once the Android app ships, Google Play — under their own terms and payment systems, not ours. We don't process payments ourselves and don't see your payment details.

Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their own policies. We can't issue refunds directly — contact Apple or Google support for a refund request.

Subscriptions, where offered, renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through us.

Your content

You keep ownership of the footage you process and the clips Alley-Hoop produces from it. You're responsible for having the right to record, process, and share that footage (including anyone appearing in it). Don't upload or process footage you don't have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Don't use Alley-Hoop to process footage you don't have rights to, to attempt to extract or reverse-engineer the on-device model beyond what your device's OS permits, or to abuse the free tier or website demo (for example, automated/bulk submissions).

No warranty, limited liability

Alley-Hoop is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. As an individual developer operating this app and website, our liability to you for any claim relating to Alley-Hoop is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continuing to use Alley-Hoop after a change means you accept the updated terms.
